New Year’s Resolution

loseweight

Since coming back from Africa I’ve noticed one thing, and I’m not surprised: I’ve gained weight! Along with not going to the gym regularly, and gorging on foods that weren’t available in Somalia when I came back….the results are not good. I think I gained about 10 pounds in the last 3 months since being back in the US. My reasons for not wanting to gain weight are primarily health reasons. Expectantly, of course my New Year’s resolution is to lose weight! How am I going to do that? Well I heard of this diet called the “Master Cleanse”, in which you use Organic lemons, organic grade B maple syrup and cayenne pepper. You’re supposed to do this for 10 days, and eat nothing else. You’re not supposed to go passed 10 days, due to the lack of vitamins and essential minerals that are missing from this diet. It’s meant to be done on a short term basis. It’s also supposed to detox your body, which is something I want to do anyways. So, I’ll let you guys know how it goes on a day to day basis, and the results I’m getting. I’m starting my cleanse today. Stay tuned!

Update (1/14/12): I haven’t started this yet! I haven’t done anything for the past week, but I’ve been trying to eliminate sugar from my diet. Like I drink my coffee or tea without any sugar. I hope to get results in the next 2-3 months, and hopefully put my before and after photos up here. Stay healthy!!
